This is a question that I've heard many times over the years. Many people think that they should wait for spring and try to sell during the busier season. The first thing to consider is your individual situation- how much time do you have to sell, when do you need to move, etc. The next thing to consider is the market (mortgage rates, competition). If the mortgage rates are really favorable (like they are now) maybe it's better to go ahead and get your home on the market- rates may rise by spring. The last reason may be the most important- less competition during the holidays. Buyers that are looking then usually are serious buyers who are ready to buy a home.
